The final in the tri-series of the Re-discover Spain campaign to feature some of the most interesting areas in the destination was held with over 180 agents from the Middle East attending the sessions. Starting off the webinar was Daniel Rosado Bayon – Director-Spain Tourism GCC & Iran, “Our main focus is to facilitate the travel trade to obtain relevant information about the destination. As a year-round destination, Spain has endless possibilities from beautiful beach resorts and experiences to ski resorts. At present, there are still restrictions and precautions undertaken by the authorities and we are awaiting the decision by the EU to open borders, we hope that by end of spring or beginning of summer. By August 2021, 70% of the population in Spain will be vaccinated. Connectivity-wise, we have flights from Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, and Doha to Madrid and Barcelona, but currently awaiting the opening of borders.”
