Rotana signs agreement to operate Marrakech’s Palmeraie Resort in Morocco

Rotana has signed a management agreement to operate Palmeraie Resorts in Marrakech, under its new name, Palmeraie Rotana Resort. Located in the heart of the famous palm oasis in Marrakech, the resort is a stone’s throw away from major landmarks and top attractions in the city, making it the ideal choice for business and leisure travellers alike. Founded in 1993 on a sprawling 230-hectare site, Palmeraie Rotana Resort consists of the 315-room five-star Hôtel du Golf Rotana, the Golf Club Rotana with 11 exclusive suites and the 314-key Palmeraie Palace, for which a full refurbishment is currently being planned. Ruler of Sharjah visits Al Badayer and Al Faya retreats by Shurooq

Al Faya Retreat and the Al Badayer Retreat situated in the Al Badayer desert, which are part of the ‘Sharjah Collection’ – the luxury hospitality brand of Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), managed by ‘Mysk by Shaza’, were visited by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah. Hyatt to develop 756-key Grand Hyatt in Makkah

Hyatt Hotels Corporation announced a management agreement with Umm Alqura for development and construction of a Grand Hyatt branded hotel in the holy city of Makkah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Located in close proximity to the Grand Mosque, the hotel will be an integral component of the King Abdul Aziz Road (KAAR) mixed-use urban development project, designed to support one of the fastest-growing religious tourism markets in the world.  “The country’s significant strides to boost tourism complements our own commitment to creating a pipeline in markets that matter most to guests and World of Hyatt members. HH Sharjah Ruler opens ‘Madar’ at Aljada, a family entertainment destination

Madar at Aljada was launched by HH Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah in UAE. HH Ruler of Sharjah was received by Sheikh Khaled bin Abdullah Al Qasimi, Head of the Seaports and Customs Department, Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Chairman of Sharjah Media Council and Arada, Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, founder and CEO of the Kalimat Group, Sheikh Khalid bin Issam Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Department of Civil Aviation, Sheikh Salem bin Abdulrahman Al Qasimi, Chairman of Sharjah Ruler’s Office, Sheikh Mohammed bin Humaid Al Qasimi, Head of the Department of Statistics and Community Development, HRH Prince Khaled bin Alwaleed bin Talal, Deputy Chairman of Arada, and a number of sheikhs, heads of government organisations and private sector companies, businessmen and investors. After unveiling the official plaque outside the Aljada Discovery Centre, HH Ruler of Sharjah toured the main attractions and various zones and facilities across Madar’s 600,000 square-foot park. He paused in front of a model of Aljada project, listening to a full explanation of the various attractions that are spread over an area of 2.2 square kilometres, and include many facilities, services and entertainment avenues. Luxury hotel ‘ME Dubai’ to launch today

Millennium Central Kuwait Downtown partners with Rotana to host their musicians and production teams participating in Hala February concerts. Providing a blend of culture, shopping and entertainment experience, Hala February features 11 singers from around the Arab world to perform a month-long festival of mega concerts. The 11 singers participating in these concerts are – Mohammad Abdo, Abdullah Al-Ruwaished, Rashid Al-Majid, Nawal Al-Kuwaitiyah, Asalah Nasri, Angham, Nabeel Shuail, Majid Al-Mohandes, Hussein Al-Jasmi, Balqees Fatahi, and Motref Al-Motref. Accor to takeover Muscat airport property and debut Novotel in Oman

Accor is set to introduce Novotel in Oman. It entered a new strategic partnership with Sundus Investments, to manage the 215-key Novotel Muscat Airport. The two-year-old property will undergo a modest revamp including décor and signage alterations to reflect Novotel’s signature contemporary-led brand experience, with further modifications including a reimagined lobby planned in the future.
