Saleh Mohamed Al Geziry is the new GM of ATDD

Ferghal Purcell, COO, Hospitality Management Holding (HMH), welcomed Saleh Mohamed Al Geziry, the new General Manager of Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD), at Bahi Ajman Palace Hotel. During his visit,  Geziry met the various team members as well as saw the fabulous facilities at the hotel. Sabre promotes Sean Menke to President and CEO

Sabre Corporation’s board of directors has appointed Sean Menke as President, CEO and a member of Sabre’s board, effective Dec 31, 2016. Menke will succeed Tom Klein, who has served as president, CEO and board member since 2013. “After an extensive search of qualified candidates, the board unanimously concluded that Sean is the right choice to lead Sabre. Since his arrival last year, Sean has demonstrated that his strong industry knowledge and expertise coupled with his decisive, results-oriented management style are an effective combination. These traits will help Sabre drive innovation as the travel industry’s technology leader and serve the needs of airlines, hotels, travel agents and travelers alike.  I look forward to working with Sean to make this happen,” said Larry Kellner, executive chairman of Sabre’s Board of Directors. Olivier Chavy takes over as CEO at Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts

International Swiss hospitality company Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts (MH&R) has appointed Olivier Chavy, as new CEO. Chavy will take over the leadership from Jean-Gabriel Pérès in September 2016. Chavy is a veteran of the hospitality industry with a 28-year track record in hotel operations and brand management. He served as International Head, Global Brand Performance of Luxury & Lifestyle Brands for Hilton Worldwide. His experience in brand building and development in the hospitality industry has led him to his current role as President and Chief Executive Officer of Wilson Associates, the leading global interior architectural design firm. Wyndham Hotel Group appoints Rogier M. Hurkmans as Cluster GM

Wyndham Hotel Group has now entrusted Rogier M. Hurkmans as Cluster General Manager for two of its hotels in the UAE. Hurkmans who was earlier the opening GM at the Wyndham Dubai Marina will now oversee TRYP by Wyndham located in Barsha Heights as well. In his new role, Hurkmans will be responsible for the opening of TRYP by Wyndham property located in Barsha Heights, which is due in the first half of 2017, as well as continuing to oversee operations at Wyndham Dubai Marina.
