Ajman welcomes guests to enjoy a safe staycation

In line with the Ajman Tourism Development Department’s guidelines and precautionary measures, Ajman Saray is the first hotel in Ajman to be awarded the BV Certification by His Highness Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi. This ensures the emirate continuous efforts in positioning itself as a favourable tourist destination for the UAE residents and as well as international visitors.The award comes after Ajman Tourism Development Department’s ongoing efforts in ensuring the safety of tourists, guests, visitors, hospitality employees in the Emirate. The BV Certification is a testament to Ajman Tourism’s comprehensive and strict precautionary measures in making the Emirate a safe destination to travel. Upon awarding the BV certification to Ajman Saray, His Highness Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi Chairman of Ajman Tourism Development Department expressed his gratitude by saying, “It gives me immense pleasure to award the first BV certification to Ajman Saray that has been extremely cooperative in complying with every preventive measure efficiently. The high-standard checks instructed by Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD) were carried out in cooperation with Ajman Medical District and Ajman Crises Management Team.” He further added that “These checks are part of the preventive programs of the UAE health authorities to reinforce the precautionary measures to limit the spread of coronavirus that include all employees in Ajman hotels, to safeguard and promote a healthy work environment for every staff member.” The certification Bureau Veritas (BV) embodies a comprehensive checklist to confirm compliance with strong hygiene practices, social distancing, and other precautionary recommendations to guarantee the highest levels of safety. Ajman Tourism highlights the emirate’s unique features at ATM Virtual

Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD) highlighted the unique features of the Emirate of Ajman during the first-ever ATM Virtual, that took place from June 1-3 and provided a combination of networking, one-to-one meetings with buyers and extensive current insights from leading industry professionals. HE Saleh Mohamed Al Geziry, Director General, ATDD participated in a panel discussion on the initiatives to be taken to revive the travel and tourism industry to secure sustainable investment in the region. He emphasised on Ajman’s unique features as an attractive investment destination including its location in the UAE with quick access to all of the Emirates of Sharjah and Dubai, cost-effectiveness and comparatively low set-up costs, faster decision-making process and less bureaucracy. He pointed out that the global travel and tourism sector is able to recover relatively fast as it did before in past crises and highlighted the importance of the industry quick adaptation to immediate changes, adopting latest technologies and less interactive operations. Ramada Ajman trains and employs people of determination

Ramada Hotel & Suites Ajman has trained and hired employees with speaking and hearing disabilities as part of its continuous commitment to reach out to the community and provide equal opportunity for different members of the society. Under Ajman Tourism Development Department’s Zayed Day for Humanitarian Initiative, in cooperation with the Ministry of Community Development, Ramada Ajman provided training and internship to Musab Abdul Raheem Jaber Saleh. A deaf and mute Jordanian national, he worked with the front office department as bell boy cum valet parking driver for a month. The programme aimed to train and employ people of determination, in order for them to integrate in the community and to be qualified to work in the government and private sector in the future. Early this year, the property also hired Rizwan Uddin, a deaf and mute Pakistani, as a ken fix-it technician. As part of the engineering department, his skills include carpentry, painting and masonry. Iftikhar Hamdani, General Manager of Ramada Hotel & Suites Ajman, commented, “We are extremely proud to support and offer opportunities to all the deserving people of determination. Their perseverance and dedication inspire us that nothing should stop us from being productive and contributing to our community. Explore Ajman aboard a seaplane

Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman, Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD), launched the latest tourist attraction with an inaugural seaplane ride landing in Al Zorah Marina 1 in Ajman. The launch was attended by HE Saleh Mohamed Al Geziry, Director General, ATDD; HE Eng. Omar Ahmed Bin Omair Al Muhairi, Director General, Public Transport Corporation, Ajman; Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Director of Media Office, Rulers Court; Imad Dana, CEO, Al Zorah Development Company and and Stuart Wheeler, CEO, Seawings. Ajman will now offer regular flights on the Cessna 208 Caravan Seaplanes over Ajman on a per person basis, taking in the iconic sights of the emirate in the process. Al Nuaimi said, “Ajman is increasingly offering exciting visitor attractions for our growing market of local, regional and international tourists. With the launch of the seaplane, residents and tourists can now get a unique, bird’s eye view of the emirate and travel to Dubai Creek in style.” Flights will take off on a pre-booked basis from Al Zorah Marina 1 in Ajman, landing at Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club, and can take up to nine passengers. Wyndham Garden Ajman Corniche set for Q4 opening

Wyndham Garden Ajman Corniche steps up its preparation for Q4 2017 opening through participation in roadshows organised by Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD),  global exhibitions, and travel workshops. The soon-to-open hotel joined the ATDD roadshows in Scandinavia and covered three countries including Denmark, Norway and Sweden. It also joined the ATDD delegation at the CIS roadshow in Armenia, Kazakhstan and Ukraine. Eyeing more markets in Europe, Wyndham Garden Ajman Corniche will similarly be promoted in the ATDD DER Touristik event in Euro Disney in Paris, France. Wyndham Garden Ajman Corniche was also showcased in Natalie Tours’ annual congress and hotelier workshop held in Dubai. More than 200 top agents from Russia and CIS region were in attendance to learn about the latest promotions and updates on Dubai and UAE as a leisure destination. One of the largest travel trade exhibitions, the annual World Travel Market in London will also be a key platform for the new property. It will be marketed alongside the destination at the ATDD stand.  The other events that Wyndham Garden Ajman Corniche will take part in are workshops organised by Tez Tour in Larnaca, Cyprus; Odeon Tours in Antalya, Turkey; and Annex Tours in Moscow, Russia. UAE attends OTM India

The UAE is participating in this year’s Outbound Travel Market (OTM) that will take place from February 21 to 23, 2017 in Mumbai. The Ministry of Economy will organise a national pavilion under the theme ‘Visit UAE’ which will feature exhibitors from more than 18 government entities and private sector representatives from the hospitality, tourism and aviation sectors. Abdullah Saleh Al Hammadi, Director of the Ministry’s Tourism Department will be part of the delegation that will comprise senior representatives from local departments and authorities, most notably the Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority; Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM); Sharjah Tourism and Commerce Development Authority; Ajman Tourism Development Department; Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority; and Fujairah Tourism and Antiquities Authority. Emirates airline, an elite group of hotels and hospitality and tourism companies, in addition to Miral Asset Management’s Yas Island, Dubai Parks, and Cleveland Clinics, which will promote medical tourism in the UAE, will be represented as well. H.E Eng. Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, UAE Minister of Economy, said that the UAE’s participation in OTM 2017 is of great significance given the improvement of Indian tourism at the global level. He referred to India as one of the UAE’s most important tourist markets due to their countries’ deep historical ties at all levels – politically, economically and culturally. Ajman earns AED200m in tourism revenues in first half of 2016

The Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD) has announced that the emirate earned AED200 million in tourism revenues from a total of 272,021 visitors in the first half of 2016. Tourism revenues from April to June 2016 reached AED92 million, 11 percent higher compared to the same period in 2015. Total guests for the period are 129,617 from 119,376 in 2015. Three Furnished Apartments are added to the inventory of establishments during the three month period. Occupancy rate for the second quarter is reported at 63 percent for hotels while hotel apartments has 68 percent occupancy rate. Guest nights for the second quarter reached 293,512 with majority of the guests staying at five- and four-star hotels and superior and standard hotel apartments. Local tourists still top the emirate’s guests followed by visitors from Asia and Africa, other Arab countries and GCC nationals. Europeans, Americans and Russian visitors comprised more than 30,000 of the total guests. With the addition of three Furnished Apartments to the inventory, Ajman has 39 establishments with total 3,392 hotel rooms and units and 5,737 beds.
